Via App is an alias of Dylan Scheer - Brooklyn-based electronic producer and performer. They started hosting and playing shows, as well as releasing tapes under the moniker while still living in Boston. From there, they relocated to New York in 2014, and quickly became part of the city’s thriving experimental electronic scene. Their early live hardware sets were awarded recognition for their stark modes of sample manipulation and collage, their dynamic narrative compositions, and their refusal to adhere to any one genre. Via App collates samples of synthesised sounds into polyrhythmic, infectious grooves which are at the cusp of breaking at any given moment, unpredictably giving way to manic frenzy.
André Uhl is a musician, sound artist and futurist born in Essen and based in Berlin. André merges noise and synthesizer lines converging them into dark, driving and cinematic pieces of music. His productions combine detailed and spatial audio design with simple, yet haunting melodies. André holds a master’s degree in future research, a fact that reflects in his compositions and leaves traces in his sound: tales of the hazy past and the twilight of the future.
